I am so excited to say, I am the proud owner of a Free Little Library. This is something I have wanted for years. My husband made my dream a reality. One of my husbands’ coworkers is an amazing craftsman. We sent him an idea of what we wanted, and he went above and beyond our vision.
If you haven’t heard of Little Free Libraries before it is a neighborhood book exchange where anyone can come to take a book or leave a book! There are more than 90,000 registered Little Free Library book-sharing boxes in 91 countries worldwide.
I am truly impressed by the work that went into making this Library. When we sent him the details about our vision, we explained to him we wanted a pink library and a planter’s box around the bottom. (Paint color is “Water Lily Bloom” by Valspar) He made it happen and even added a few special touches. One of the special touches was when you open the door and reach in a little light comes on. Such a fun little detail to help see inside the Library. He also had his talented wife add a cute sign. You can check out her Instagram handle at sandedknotco . I am loving her little shop.
I am so in LOVE with how our Little Free Library looks in our front yard. But my favorite part is that I can share books with our little neighborhood. I have never been a person to read a book twice so I so excited to put my book collection to good use.
